September 7th: Labor Day | School Closed
September 21st: Teacher Work Day | School Closed
September 22nd: International Peace Day Celebration - Students Only
September 26th: School Fall Barbecue | 11 am to 1 pm

Happy Birthday, Dr. Maria Montessori! 🥳
Today we celebrate the woman whose ideas continue to shape our classrooms and our community every day.
We see her vision in the little moments - the proud smile after mastering something new, the focus during meaningful work, the independence that grows a little more each day, and the kindness children show one another.
We’re so grateful to be carrying her work forward and to have the privilege of watching children grow, discover, and become more independent every day. 💜

Week One at The Lakes! ✨
What a wonderful first week it has been! Our students are settling beautifully into their classrooms and new routines, getting to know their teachers and classmates, making new friends, and discovering all the exciting materials waiting for them. 🌱📚
We have already seen so much curiosity, independence, joyful work, and growth and this is only the beginning! We are so excited to watch our students learn, grow, and create special memories throughout the year.

What a day to remember! Today marked the very first school day of The Lakes, and we couldn’t have asked for a better beginning. From the moment our students walked through the doors, our new classrooms were filled with curiosity, joyful work, and new friendships ✨
And, of course, we had to start a new tradition of our own: First Day Chick-fil-A! 🐔🎉 Our students enjoyed chicken minis and fresh fruit for lunch, thanks to our wonderful partnership with our local Chick-fil-A. What a delicious way to celebrate a brand-new beginning! 😋
It is just the beginning. We can’t wait to fill The Lakes with countless more memories, traditions, and moments of growth. Here’s to an amazing first year! 💜🌿

Today was extra special as we opened our doors for our first Open House! Our enrolled families had the chance to explore their new classrooms, drop off a few things, meet their teachers, and get a first look at the spaces where so many memories will soon be made 🤗✨
And the countdown is over... tomorrow is the first day of school! 🎉 We can’t wait to officially welcome our students to The Lakes and begin this exciting new chapter together. 💜
